Magda Iriarte Reid has over 20 years experience as an instructor and 10 years experience as a PFHA judge. As a professional educator she understands the importance of individualized instruction and strives to meet client's individual needs.
Through partnering with the unique Paso Fino Horse, we at Startown Stables offer a highly individualized equestrian program that caters to horse enthusiasts of varying ages and ability levels. Our clients are given the opportunity to specialize their equestrian program to meet their individual goals. We recognize that the love of horses speaks to individuals in a unique way. Some may be drawn to the tranquility of communicating with their horse as they meander through a peaceful trail, while others may be called by the enthusiasm and excitement of the show ring. Whatever those personal goals may be, it is our mission to provide a safe, supportive and progressive environment that will help our clients become strong, confident independent riders.

2012 Summer Camps Beinners / Intermediate Riders

The Startown Stables equestrian camp offers a great opportunity for beginning and intermediate riders (ages 7 - 16) to develop their horsemanship skills. Our purpose is to teach campers to become safe equestrians. Through a variety of hands on experiences campers will develop their confidence in handling horses on the ground as well as under saddle. All aspects of gromming, tacking, horse care and equitation will be covered with emphasis on safety.

Additional Camp Information:
The day camps run from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm Monday through Friday.
Campers are assigned a horse to ride during the week and are also involved with the hand-on care for that horse.
A demonstration will be held at the end of the day on Friday so campers can exhibit the skills they learned during the week.
Each Camper will be responsible for packing his/her own lunch.
Intermediate Campers may bring their own horses if desired.
Minimum # of Participants 5. Maximum # of Participants 10.
Day Camp Fee: $300.00 per week. A $50.00 non-refundable deposit must accompany enrollment form.
